Why is my tax dollar being wasted on Wall Street? Let the economy crash because of shifty practices on the part of Congress and Wall St. Send any lawbreakers to prison and let the economy rebuild itself. Don’t waste my taxes and indebt my children with this rush to throw money at a self-inflicted problem.
“Any fool can make something complicated. It takes a genius to make it simple.” - Woody Guthrie
Working to make the confusing understandable, and the simple...well, you figure out the rest.

He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother

I came across this picture from 2002 and I love it. Matthew has loved the camera since he was young enough to have his picture taken. Big smile on his face and his brother not even interested in the picture.
This is what being a parent is all about. The good times and the bad, and being able to look back and remember them all.
I wouldn't trade it for the world!

The Light At The End?
I am the first to admit that I am not a biblical scholar or even someone who claims a vast knowledge of the Bible, but even I can see that things seem to be speeding down a path to an end that might be coming into sight.
There is too much going on all over the world. The bear is rumbling in the east again.
Exciting times to be alive.
Keep looking to the East and listening for the shout and trumpets.

The majesty of God

The sky was full of individual clouds, all of them looking like they were sitting on a plane of glass. All the bottoms were flat at the same altitude. It was awesome.
On a clear blue background, this is beautiful. How long has it been since you stopped to wonder over the beauty of a leaf or a flower or a cloud even.
God is truly wonderful, awesome and all powerful.

Weekend Journey
This weekend I decided to combine two things I enjoy. I took the kids camping and combined it with a amateur radio swapmeet in Williams, AZ. The two small tents we had were too small for us so I picked up a nice big one on the way. IT LEAKS! Of course, things being the way they are, we had no sooner put the thing up them we were riding out one of the worst thunderstorms I’ve seen in a long time. The hail came first. Then the buckets of water. Our poor tent, with no seam sealer on it yet, didn’t stand a chance. Just a constant drip around the door seams. Poor tent. So today I’ll pack it away and put it back up at home to dry out in the heat, and then treat the seams.
In the meantime, I’m sitting here in the morning coolness in the pine trees waiting for the boys to wake up. Life is good. God Bless.

Who's Driving That Rental Truck?

This morning, I left Las Cruces, headed west toward Tucson and back to Phoenix. Just west of Las Cruces, I was passed by several vehicles of a suspicious nature. There were a couple of sedans with really heavy window tinting. Then a small rental moving truck (similar to a U-Haul), followed by a white van with Government plates and several more blacked out vehicles. They were traveling close together and just under the speed limit. When the last vehicle passed me, they all changed lanes together into my lane.
I spent most of the rest of the trip speculating what was in the truck that they were transporting and obviously protecting.
It made the time go by and helped keep me awake.
