Roadside Reminders

A few days ago, on another blog, I posted an update entitled “Did you ever wonder…”

It started out with “As you drive down the roadways of this country, have you ever seen something on the side of the road that gives you pause?”

Anyone who has driven down a highway in American has probably seen a roadside marker, cross or memorial to someone who died at that location.

Some curves, hills and blind turns seem to have a lot of these markers, attesting to the danger associated with that portion of the road.

2012? But where did 2011 go?

I cannot believe how fast 2011 zoomed by.  And here we are, almost to the end of January 2012 already.

The older I get, the faster time goes by.  My wife tells me that she already has 75% of the Christmas shopping done for 2012, too.

I give up.

Where's this year going?

Wow, the middle of May has come and gone.  In a week, my boys will be out of school for the summer.  Next Saturday we’re heading out to Southern California for the weekend.  We’re going to Knotts Berry Farm, courtesy of some friends of ours.  Maybe even SeaWorld if we have the time and we feel like it.

In July, we have Deportation 2011, our annual trip to Mexico.

Somewhere either this fall, or next spring, I have to fit in a Graduate Cruise with Princess Cruises, to celebrate my reaching the highest level of training they offer.

Hopefully the travel agency will start going, and eventually I want to quit my day job and become a full time agent.  Such goals.

Upcoming Plans

Wow. 3 months until Deportation 2011, Almost 6 months until the birthday trip to Knotts to celebrate Matt’s 12th…and just over 11 months until Spring Break 2012 and our cruise to Puerto Vallerta again!  Busy year.
